Cube Houses

With their striking, unique design, the Cube Houses are a must-see in Rotterdam. After getting wowed all day at Mendix World, continue getting inspired by taking a tour of architect Piet Blom’s masterpiece and see how people are living in homes that have been literally turned on their axes.

De Markthal in Rotterdam is another of the many impressive pieces of architecture that Rotterdam has to offer. Take an hour to explore this horseshoe-shaped marvel and experience its massive, diverse market and restaurant space.


Another striking piece of Rotterdam architecture is Euromast, Rotterdam’s tallest structure. Grab dinner at its restaurant or take a ride to the top in a rotating glass elevator. Either way, you get a view of the city that you won’t get anywhere else.

Historic Delfshaven

This historical neighborhood is one of the few parts of the old city that was largely unharmed during World War ll. It features the largest concentration of pre-20th-century buildings in Rotterdam. This is a lovely area to just walk around and take in.

The historic canal houses now hold cozy shops selling antiques and bric-a-brac, as well as lovely cafés and restaurants. You’ll also find one of the city’s finest restaurants here, ’t Ouwe Bruggetje, with its outdoor seating right on the water.
