Capgemini Wins Contract for Youth Healthcare Institution with SaaS Built on Mendix
We are excited to hear that our implementation partner Capgemini won a significant contract with the Youth Healthcare Institution of the Netherlands, proposing a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to be built on the Mendix Platform, which will “decentralize youth care responsibilities from a province level to local municipalities” according to a representative from Capgemini’s Local Governments & Care division.
The organization cites ‘quality of the proposed solution’ as the primary motivation for choosing Capgemini over the other tenders submitted. High priority was placed on the use of an Agile development methodology; an iterative approach supported by the Mendix App Platform that fosters end user involvement throughout application delivery projects, significantly improving the quality and fit of the resulting solution.
Capgemini will provide not only the implementation, but management and maintenance for the SaaS solution. The strategic change was driven by the need to reduce and simplify the administrative workload of all its employees throughout 16 affiliated institutions, and to lower costs of streamlining and automating those processes. This is a use case that we hear quite often, but in a particularly stringent RFP process like the one held by Youth Healthcare Institution this past year, we are honored to be Capgemini’s technology of choice for this project.
