Mendix is Nominated: The 2022 Computable Awards

The Computable Awards is a prestigious information computing and technology (ICT) award bestowed on companies, projects, and people who exhibit unquestioned excellence in The Netherlands´ IT space.

Mendix and its partners are once again honored to be nominated across numerous categories ranging from customer experience to digital transformation, to healthcare.

Customer Experience – Quion

Financial services provider Quion—one of the largest independent, third-party, mortgage management service providers—has improved its online self-service portal with their customer portal called Quion. With the renewed portal, consumers can now easily arrange their mortgage matters all online. Quion selected the Mendix low-code platform to renew its online services and develop a scalable solution that complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Healthcare – CarePay

The Dutch company, CarePay, is digitizing the healthcare system in East Africa via mobile technology. M-Tiba is a platform that the company has developed for the Kenyan and Nigerian market to be able to take out health insurance. CarePay believes the intersection of mobile technology and mobile money has the potential to transform healthcare by facilitating universal access to quality healthcare at a lower cost.

Big Projects – Koopman and Axians

Logistics company Koopman was sending purchase orders from the Dutch customers and the delivery dates from the Chinese suppliers by e-mail by logistics Koopman and keeping data in Excel sheets. That was a labor-intensive and error-prone process. To gain more insight and control over the purchasing process, Koopman wanted to bundle this information about orders in one system. Koopman called on ICT service provider Axians to develop a portal. By using Mendix’s low-code technology in which all relevant data is available, they’ve streamlined the process between supplier and buyer and goal.

Digital Transformation – Urban Arrow and Appronto

Urban Arrow builds cargo bikes for the transport of children and goods. In recent years, the ten-year company has grown enormously. To properly serve the increasing number of dealers, Appronto and Urban Arrow built a new dealer portal based on Mendix technology. Thanks to this portal, dealers can better help their customers and manage their expectations. Appronto led the entire development process. Together with Urban Arrow, the necessary functionalities were researched and developed into this solution.

Sustainability & CSR

Foodprint Group

Foodprint Group has used the Mendix’s low-code platform to redesign and digitize its entire workflow. The company has a number of applications, Foodprint Trax and Foodprint Scorecard, to monitor CO2 usage and  the recycling and reuse of waste in the hospitality industry among other things. They also created a customer dashboard for real-time reporting and data visualisation.

Motopp

With a major shortage of IT specialists and a growing number of status holders in the Netherlands, Motopp has come up with a solution. This company offers newcomers the opportunity to be trained as a software developer for Mendix. While experience in IT is not necessary, motivation, focus, and passion for IT is. Someone must have a strong analytical mind and numerical insight. Within three months, newcomers are retrained to become IT specialists and are helped to find a permanent job.

Partner project – Becx Verhuur and ddots

Becx Verhuur selected Mendix solutions specialists, ddots, to help build and integrate a rental  application that makes the rental process for trailers, terminal tractors, and truck-mounted forklifts more effective. The app integrates with backend systems and provides dashboards that give essential, always-available information to Becx and its customers.
