We’re looking for a talented and ambitious UX Designer with a passion for creating amazing experiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced designer who can create effortless and engaging user experiences that look as good as they work. If you’re a thoughtful creator who is passionate about user interactions, skilled at crafting incredible visuals and interfaces, and able to shape an entire project from start to finish, you could be our new team member.
The Mendix R&D department has a lot of talented teams that are supported by UX Designers. You will have the freedom and responsibility to think and work on several key features of the Mendix Platform. As a UX Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels for our online platform, Modeler, and Mendix Cloud Portal. In your capacity as a designer, you'll be working on these teams with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to create delightful user experiences across our entire platform.
You could be our new team member if:
We're a company that creates software to create software. We started off building a modeling environment (let's say it was like Ruby on Rails meets Visio), but we have since evolved to support the entire software development lifecycle. From creating software to automatic deployments to ticketing, we offer it all. This brings on a ton of cool challenges: we get to tackle the fundamental CS problems and solve them in new ways.
We're open to using the latest tech as long as it's a good match. Every month, we have crafting days when developers are invited to work on whatever they want. For example, people work on a bug that somehow never got prioritized, try out a cool new technology that may be useful to us (now or in the future), or build a Lego Mindstorms setup to control the elevator.
We like people who take ownership, and we try to give everyone as much freedom as possible. This means there’s as little process as we can get away with, because we don't want to get in your way. We also strive to stay as flat as possible. Do you have an issue? Walk right into our CTO's office and bring it up. Despite the fact that our client base consists of large enterprises, we do not allow a bureaucratic culture to enter our R&D department. We value the start-up culture that has brought us so much success. We are a tech company, not a project-oriented organization.Join Us
