Mendix Business Modeler 4.2.0 has been released

on September 19, 2012

We are proud to announce that version 4.2.0 of the Mendix Business Modeler has been released. This is a minor release consisting of 11 improvements and 27 fixes for issues reported through the Support Portal. Here are some of the highlights of this release:

  • For the security-minded among us, we added out-of-the-box support for enforcing a password policy. You can configure a number of constraints for passwords directly from the Project Security dialog in the Modeler. These include the minimum length for passwords, whether mixed case is required, and whether the password should contain numbers and/or special symbols.
  • Password Policy

  • Scheduled events run in the UTC time zone by default. However, some use cases require that the local time zone or another specific time zone is used. Therefore, we added a project setting that allows you to select the time zone scheduled events should run in.
  • We made some improvements to mobile widgets. The reference selector now supports the ‘Constrained by’ feature that allows users to make a subselection based on an earlier selected value. The list view now supports conditionally visible elements.

You can view the complete list of changes and download this release in the App Store.
