Mendix introduces an academic license program for universities, schools and research institutes to use Mendix software for educational purposes. The program offers students, teachers and researchers easy access to all Mendix software modules, tutorials, demonstrations and study materials.

Mendix provides the tools and methodology to dramatically accelerate the development of new business applications. The Mendix platform allows business analysts to represent business requirements using precise visual models, which become executable components, without the need to write (or test) code. The result is that the cooperation between business and IT is optimized.

Mendix CEO Derek Roos explains: “We believe that automation of business processes is to be done in close cooperation between business and IT. Unfortunately, most software simply is too technical to be used by business analysts. Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, are among the first institutions which have signed contract with Mendix to use the software for both education and research.

Mendix introduceert een academische licentie programma om universiteiten, scholen en onderzoeksinstituten gebruik te laten maken van Mendix software voor educatieve doeleinden. Het programma biedt studenten, docenten en onderzoekers gemakkelijke toegang tot alle Mendix software modules, tutorials, demo’s en studiematerialen.
