Mendix Cloud GenAI: Enhanced external collaboration for Mendix GenAI resources

A new feature has been released for the Mendix GenAI resources portal to improve external collaboration. You can now add members from outside your company to your Mendix GenAI resources. This allows external parties to access and utilize these resources directly, just like internal team members. The goal of this update is to streamline the process of working with external collaborators on your GenAI projects, fostering more efficient shared workflows.

Maia Make has received several new upgrades, enabling better usage, improved generation quality, and even more model elements that can be generated. Maia can now generate constants, JavaScript actions, and setup folder structures for you. Aside from that, there are a few key highlights that make Maia Make in 11.10 an even better experience.

Loading URLs

Maia Make can now load data from URLs that get shared with it. This means that Maia will be able to load the data from this URL, and read and understand all information from the website that was provided, and can leverage that information in setting up an application, or taking that information along when responding to your questions

MCP server – BYO agent

Studio Pro now works as an MCP server! By enabling the MCP server in Studio Pro, it is possible to connect from any MCP Client and use the tools that we use for Maia with your own agent. This means you could generate microflows, domain models, pages, or anything else, directly from your AI Agent of choice.

Marketplace Recommendations

Maia Plan now helps you build on what already exists. With the new Marketplace Recommender, Maia automatically suggests relevant components from the Mendix Marketplace based on the user stories it generates. This includes platform-supported public components as well as everything available in your private Marketplace, making it easy to reuse proven solutions instead of starting from scratch. If your organization uses the Company-Approved setting, Maia will only recommend components that meet your internal standard, ensuring every solution is built with trusted, approved building blocks from the very start.

Update with confidence using the new Update Assistant

キーピング Mendix apps up to date with new major versions is essential to benefit from platform improvements, performance gains, and long-term support. In practice, however, updating often requires changes that can be difficult to detect and plan. Deprecated APIs, behavioral changes, and hidden warnings can create update friction especially when detected late.
To address this, we are introducing the Update Assistant, a new panel in Studio Pro designed to become the central place for everything related to updating your app. The goal of the Update Assistant is to show you exactly what needs to change to move to the next major version, allowing you to prepare your application ahead of time and update with far less friction. In this first release, it highlights usages of outdated or deprecated Java APIs and surfaces all deprecation warnings directly from your model.

This is just the beginning. Next, we plan to extend the Update Assistant with JavaScript API checks and offer to automatically resolve issues found in Java and JavaScript code. Our goal is to make updating predictable, transparent, and fast, so you can always stay current with confidence.

CORS support for built-in XAS APIs

Modern browsers enforce strict security rules when web applications access APIs hosted on other servers. Without explicit permission through Cross-Origin Resource Sharing, or CORS, these calls are blocked by default. While Mendix already allowed you to configure CORS for published REST services, built-in XAS APIs could not be accessed from browser-based clients running on different origins. This limitation made certain integration and frontend scenarios unnecessarily complex.

With this release, we are extending CORS configuration support to the built-in XAS APIs as well. You can now explicitly control which external origins are allowed to access these APIs, enabling secure and standards-compliant browser integrations. This makes it easier to build rich web experiences, custom frontends, and integrations that rely on direct API access without compromising security. OpenTelemetry support for Java Code

Observability is critical when running production Mendix applications. OpenTelemetry tracing already gives you visibility into microflows and actions, but until now Java code remained a black box. You could see when a Java action was called, but not what happened inside it. This made diagnosing performance issues and understanding custom logic far more difficult.

In this release, we are extending the Mendix ランタイムAPI with new OpenTelemetry methods for Java. You can now create your own spans directly from Java code, allowing you to trace internal operations with the same level of detail as microflows. These spans are fully integrated into your existing OpenTelemetry setup, making them visible in your preferred observability tools.

You can also access and enrich span objects with custom attributes, giving you precise control over what is measured and reported. This enables deep insight into complex Java logic and significantly improves troubleshooting and performance analysis. Full details on the new API and usage examples can be found in the ドキュメント.

React Native 0.83 upgrade

Mobile operating systems and devices evolve quickly, and native mobile apps need to keep pace to remain compatible, stable, and performant. Falling behind on core technologies can lead to issues on newer devices and OS versions, while also preventing apps from benefiting from ongoing platform improvements.

With this release, we upgrade React Native to version 0.83. This is an important milestone that fully enables the new React Native architecture for Mendix native mobile apps. The new architecture brings noticeable performance and stability improvements, resulting in apps that feel faster and more responsive for end users.

Mendix 11.12, planned for release in June 2026, will be the next version we strongly recommend for all native mobile apps to migrate to. Until then, this and later versions can already be used to test native apps and assess any changes needed for a smooth upgrade to 11.12. Starting this validation early helps teams make the upgrade process predictable and easier to plan.

Capital Connector 2512

Capital Connector 2512 an incremental update to Capital Connector v1.1.0 will be supporting the Capital 2512. It’s not only limited to the 2512 compatibility, but this version will support new APIs from Capital namely:

1. Batch update and retrieval of designs,
2. Perform CRUD operations on Product Plans including attached designs associated to a particular project,
3. Retrieving the Attached data from a project and filter them using combinations like Type & Key, Project Name & Project ID
4. Retrieve Library items and filtering a specific part from the library

Going forward, the Capital Connector’s major version will be compatible with the Capital release cycle and version number.
With this release, Capital Connector 2512 now provides 100% coverage of the publicly available Capital REST APIs.
