BOSTON October 25, 2016 – Mendix, the fastest and easiest cloud platform for rapid application development, today announced plans to host an interactive webinar titled “How to Deliver New Products Like an InsurTech,” featuring Craig Beattie, Celent senior analyst and InsurTech top 50 influencer, and Rod Willmott, Fast Track Director at LV= Insurance. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1, at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

In this interactive webinar, Beattie and Willmott will share insights into ways digital technologies are transforming insurance product development. They will discuss how insurance IT teams must balance digital product delivery with large modernization projects, and how rapid application delivery is helping insurers accelerate time to value.

Beattie is a senior analyst with Celent’s Insurance practice. He brings extensive experience in the use of enterprise architecture and applications architecture practices in the insurance industry. He has advised insurers on IT strategy, legacy modernization, insurance vendor analysis and enterprise architecture topics.

Willmott is at the center of the innovation cycle at LV=, where they have innovation functions ranging from a Fast Track team that delivers rapid IT solutions, business-embedded innovation at the ground level and a Lab where new and future business concepts are explored. Under Willmott’s leadership, LV= has honed digital product delivery, reducing time to market from 18 months to three weeks.

Digital Insurance Award FinalistThis month, LV= was shortlisted in the Best Business Project Dependent on Mobile Technology category of the Post Digital Insurance Awards. Specifically, LV= was recognized along with RGA for the launch of QuickCover, a new digital product that allows customers to purchase life insurance in less than five minutes. The application, which was designed to deliver an end-to-end mobile experience, took just three weeks to deliver.
