Mendix Customer MassHousing to Speak at NCSHA Housing Conference
BOSTON – October 15, 2014 – Mendix, the enterprise app platform as a service (aPaaS) company, today announced that the company will exhibit and Mendix customer MassHousing will speak at the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) 2014 Annual Conference & Showplace event. The conference will be held in Boston on Oct. 18-21 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
MassHousing CIO Charles Schiappa will present in a session called “Best of HFAs: Information Technology” on Monday, Oct. 20, at 10:45 a.m. The session will discuss ways MassHousing has used technology to drive improvements in its operations and processes. Schiappa will share how the agency leveraged the Mendix App Platform to deliver a single application to streamline the permitting process for Chapter 40B, the state’s affordable housing law. Using Mendix, MassHousing was able to produce the app in 12 weeks, shrinking a development project estimated to take up to 18 months using conventional coding methods.
Mendix will exhibit at the conference at Booth #36. The company will showcase ways the high-productivity Mendix App Platform can help housing finance authorities and other government agencies keep pace with growing business demand and deliver valued information solutions through a more iterative, collaborative approach.
