Mendix Reports Record Q1 Results Fueled by Strategic Platform Adoption

Q1 bookings up 161 percent year over year; company tripling North American sales team to keep pace with growing demand

BOSTON – April 5, 2016Mendix, a leading application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS) provider, today announced record Q1 results. This triple-digit growth is being driven by strategic adoption of the Mendix platform, as enterprises around the world look to accelerate their digital transformation.

For Q1 2016, Mendix reported 161 percent global bookings growth, including triple-digital growth in each of its principal sales regions. The company experienced particularly strong traction in the North American market, achieving 190 percent of plan for the quarter. These record results were driven by accelerated new logo growth, with companies adopting the Mendix platform to rapidly deliver new web, mobile and IoT applications that help transform their businesses.

Additional Q1 business highlights include:

  • aPaaS MQAnalyst Recognition – For the second year in a row, Mendix was named a Visionary in the Gartner 2016 “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Platform as a Service, Worldwide.” Mendix was also a Visionary in Gartner’s 2015 “Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms.”
  • Expanded Leadership Team – Eric Poley was appointed Vice President of Sales, North America, with responsibility for scaling Mendix’s North American sales organization and accelerating its rapid growth. Poley joined Mendix after successful stints at JW Player, Veracode and Salesforce.
  • Microsoft Azure Partnership – Mendix announced support for Microsoft Azure and the availability of the Mendix platform in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Through this offering, Mendix and Microsoft are providing a seamless cloud stack to drive high-velocity innovation.
  • Mendix World – Mendix unveiled plans for Mendix World 2016, including a star-studded keynote lineup that includes disruptive innovation visionary Geoffrey Moore, former Netflix Cloud Architect Adrian Cockcroft, Leading Edge Forum Researcher Simon Wardley and more.
