Mendix to Showcase Rapid Application Delivery Capabilities at Gartner ADI Summit

Company to Discuss Recent ‘App Delivery Chasm’ Survey and Strategies to Help IT Teams Keep Pace with Growing Business Application Demands

BOSTON December 1, 2014Mendix, the enterprise app platform as a service (aPaaS) company, today announced that the company is a Silver Sponsor at the Gartner Application Architecture, Development & Integration Summit. The conference is taking place in Las Vegas from Dec. 8-10, 2014.

The Summit’s theme for 2014 is “Innovate, Transform, Accelerate: Powering the Digital Future.”Reflecting this theme, Mendix will showcase ways the Mendix App Platform helps companies accelerate delivery of new multi-channel applications, innovate in a faster, more agile manner and transform their operations. The company will be located at booth #112.

In addition, Mendix will showcase the results of its recent survey of 470 global IT and business professionals which revealed an “App Delivery Chasm” between growing business demand for custom applications and IT’s ability to meet that demand.

The research identified the presence of a framework such as Gartner’s Pace-Layered Application Strategy (Bimodal IT) as one of three main success factors that enable IT teams to cross the App Delivery Chasm. The Pace-Layered Application Strategy helps organizations categorizes and prioritize business applications based on their distinctiveness of capabilities, rate of change and other factors. Survey respondents who leverage such as framework consistently reported higher percentages of applications delivered on time, meeting business requirements and generating business value.

“With demand from the business growing rapidly, IT leaders are under pressure to better manage and prioritize their application needs,” said Gottfried Sehringer, vice president of marketing for Mendix. “Using Gartner’s Pace-Layered Application Strategy in conjunction with the Mendix App Platform, IT teams can deliver high-impact systems of differentiation and innovation with the speed, agility and flexibility required by today’s digital business.”
