(Analyst Session) The Future of Insurance Systems: Ecosystem-as-a-Service

Insurers have finally bought into the cloud, and the approach to systems has moved from a license/maintenance approach to a service fee. This shift is bringing bigger changes than just the licensing model; now, instead of buying a platform, insurers are placing their products into an ecosystem. Insurers find themselves at the center of a growing body of third-parties. There are traditional data brokers and the emerging data providers. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of analytics/AI point solutions that can improve the entire industry but each require orchestration into the enterprise value chain. There are traditional distribution partners and new digital partners and comparative raters and digital exchanges. Plus insurers are struggling with their own mix of legacy and modern tech spread across on-prem and cloud hosts, requiring its own integration strategy. In this session IT leaders and executives will learn how modern solutions are all looking to become the center of this API ecosystem and how insurers can rethink their approach to systems and digital strategy to take best advantage of the value of third-parties.
