Mendix CEO Derek Roos to Discuss Strategies for Harnessing Digital Innovation at MIT Sloan CIO Symposium

E&Y Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner to Share Insight into How CEOs and CIOs can Work Together to Drive Innovation

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – May 18, 2015Mendix, a leading Application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS) provider, today announced that CEO and co-founder Derek Roos will participate in a panel discussion, “The Board, CEO and CIO Roles in Dealing with Digital Disruption,” at the 2015 MIT Sloan CIO Symposium. The panel will take place at MIT’s Kresege Auditorium on May 20 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

The panel will explore recent findings from an MIT survey of board members, which revealed that approximately 32 percent of company revenue is threatened by digital disruption, suggesting changes are necessary in alignment of the CEO, CIO and board. Drawing on his interactions with enterprises undergoing digital transformation, including his own experiences leading Mendix, Roos will share insights into accelerating digital transformation, helping the CEO and CIO support innovation and better compete in a digital economy.

Moderator Peter Weill from the MIT Sloan Center for Information Systems will lead the conversation. Fellow panelists joining Roos include:
