Mendix Launches Online Academy for Rapidly Growing Global Community

New users can take advantage of extensive and fun self-service training and then start building and deploying apps for free with the Mendix Community Edition

BOSTON – June 16, 2014 –Mendix, the enterprise application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS) company, today announced the availability of the Mendix Online Academy, an extensive set of free, self-service training videos to help new users and developers quickly get up to speed on the Mendix App Platform.

Mendix recently launched the Mendix Community Edition, a free, no-strings-attached edition of its enterprise app Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS) that includes rapid development capabilities combined with instant, one-click cloud deployment. The Mendix Online Academy provides this rapidly growing global community with free access to self-service training, allowing new users and developers to quickly learn and deliver results with Mendix.

The Online Academy includes a self-service online program consisting of 41 fun and easy-to-use videos that guide users through a complete, 18-hour curriculum. It contains an overview of the Mendix App Platform, how to set up a new Mendix project, creating domain models and entities, user stories, microflows, multi-device layouts, security and much more. The videos are instantly available to all Mendix users via the Getting Started app on their Mendix Launchpad.
