Mendix Named a Visionary in Gartner 2015 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms

BOSTON – July 28, 2015 – Mendix, a leader in driving digital innovation and provider of application Platform-as-a-Service (aPaaS), today announced its position as a “Visionary” in the newly published Gartner “Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms” report (July 2015). The Mendix platform helps enterprises accelerate digital innovation by allowing them to build and deploy fully responsive, multi-channel applications much faster and more flexibly.

gartner-mq-madp-grid-imageAccording to the Magic Quadrant report, “Many organizations are realizing that mobile is an essential competitive advantage as part of an overall digital business transformation. Mobile is only part of this bigger picture, and while mobile-first thinking is helpful to ensure a simple, powerful experience, it is not in itself sufficient. This, too, is reflected by changes in the market, emphasizing multichannel delivery and support for continuity of user experience across channels.”

Mendix’s multi-channel delivery approach enables organizations to build applications once and run them anywhere, leveraging native device functionality and fully responsive design. This approach eliminates the cost and complexity of supporting multiple platforms and devices, while allowing developers without specific mobile expertise to build engaging multi-channel applications. A new UI framework provides a comprehensive set of themes, navigation layouts, and page templates for creating pixel-perfect, fully responsive applications out of the box. In addition, the Mendix platform supports the complete application lifecycle, from design, to development and testing, to one-click deployment and publishing in common app stores.

“We believe our recognition as a ‘Visionary’ validates our approach to enabling digital innovation, which aligns people, process, and provides a unified platform to accelerate development and delivery of innovative multi-channel applications,” said Derek Roos, CEO and co-founder of Mendix. “Mendix is uniquely positioned to help today’s enterprises deliver on their digital goals—empowering employees, customers and partners with the right information and processes seamlessly across all channels.”
