It’s been a busy start to the year in many ways, especially from a news perspective. Following press releases detailing our $25 million Series B Round and inclusion in Gartner’s Enterprise aPaaS Magic Quadrant, we’ve announced a steady stream of new customers, including AZL, NLE and just this morning, The Boston Globe.
While there are fascinating nuances to how each customer is using Mendix, they share the common thread of accelerating application delivery in order to better enable the business. If you missed any of the announcements, check out the summaries below and click through for the full story.
Pension Fund Provider AZL Adopts Mendix App Platform to Accelerate Time-to-Market for Retiree Portal – Working with Mendix partner Bizzomate, AZL quickly delivered a custom web portal for its more than one million pension holders. Mendix was crucial to reducing time to market for the new portal, while allowing AZL to easily adapt it to individual pension funds and other business needs. AZL is currently building out its internal Mendix expertise, so it can manage future application delivery projects in house.
Energy Supplier NLE Adopts the Mendix App Platform to Fuel Innovation – A young, innovative and fast-growing energy company, NLE turned to Mendix because traditional .NET development methods were holding the company back. Moving forward, everything outside of NLE’s core back-end systems will be rapidly developed with Mendix, and instantly deployed instantly in the Mendix Cloud. As proof, the company’s first project, a self-service portal for customers, was delivered in just six weeks.
Boston Globe Standardizes on the Mendix App Platform to Meet Diverse Application Needs Across the Organization – The Globe initially needed a solution to migrate a number of legacy Lotus Notes workflow applications. However, the publisher quickly realized Mendix met a much larger need – a single platform to rapidly deliver dozens of new apps and drive greater efficiency and innovation across the entire organization. Interestingly, in addition to enhancing collaboration during the development process, Mendix’s visual modeling capabilities will allow key business users at the Globe to take over basic application maintenance.
Bonus: these customers are part of the excellent speaker lineup we’ve put together for Mendix World 2014 next month in Rotterdam.
