Mendix World 2020: Event Canceled Due to Coronavirus
Mendix World 2020: Event Canceled Due to Coronavirus by Derek Roos
If you’re reading this message, you know Mendix is more than just a company, it’s a community. A community of Makers, customers and partners that create powerful business critical applications every day.
And you also know what we’re all going through right now is unprecedented.
Mendix World only happens once a year and it represents a celebration of the successes of the entire Mendix community, is packed with learning, the latest developments in technology, and opportunities to make new connections. As the keeper of this community, we have a responsibility to put the health and safety of our customers, partners and team members first.
We take this responsibility seriously, which is why we have made the very difficult decision to cancel Mendix World 2020 in reaction to the growing health emergency around the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the responsible thing to do, and it’s the most prudent decision we can make at this time for the safety of our community. We’ve sent out a communication to all those scheduled to attend the event to notify them of the cancelation so that they can plan accordingly.
As you might imagine, our team has already put a tremendous amount of effort into preparing for this event, building great content and resources all slated for release in June. We are exploring new ways through which we can share these updates, and will communicate them to you as we finalize our plans.
We are mindful of all those affected by this terrible global pandemic. We’re hoping for a resolution soon, and send wishes for good health your way. Until then, we will look forward to hosting the entire Mendix community again next year for Mendix World 2021 in Rotterdam.
