Company Onboarding
How can I best set my team up for getting started with Mendix?
The Company Onboarding page allows you to customize the Mendix experience for your new team members to help them learn about how your company uses Mendix, where they can find resources, and how they can get started.
It can be used for anything you want people who use Mendix at your company to have handy: guidelines, company manuals, videos, best practices, rules everyone needs to follow, and so on. It can be as small as a list of best practices and useful links or as large as your organization’s Mendix knowledge base. As you scale, it becomes increasingly important for everyone who uses a platform to follow the same guidelines and way of working. This is why every user from your company with a Mendix account will be able to see the entry point to this page as a tile on their Mendix Home.

The page is very easy to set up. You do not need any technical experience or too much time to do it. It consists of a set of building blocks that you can choose and customize any way you want, and you can easily preview your changes to see if that’s exactly what you had in mind before publishing to your company’s user base. If you have configured your Company Brand in the Control Center then you can use the logo and images saved there on your onboarding page.
Once published, the page will be the place where brand new users land after signing up, and your new page will be visible to everyone in your organization who logs in to the platform. It will be shown on their Mendix Home like this:

Onboarding email
You can customize the onboarding email that users of your domains receive when they join the Mendix Platform. You can provide a link to your company’s onboarding page, share a welcome message, or present company guidelines for using Mendix.

Have a look at how Continental configured their company onboarding page with a combination of guidelines and videos they had already made. Breaking down information into manageable chunks and organizing it per topic pretty much guarantees Mendix makers at your company will keep coming back to the page whenever they need to verify how something is done.
