Our mobile solution for the SAP supply chain, PreBilt, powered by Mendix, was able to deliver a whole host of business and operational benefits across Deli Home’s warehousing sites as part of a wider SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) transformation project.
A supplier of custom timber products for the home improvement market, Deli Home provides its products and services to home improvement and builders’ merchants, retailers, and building contractors across Europe.
Deli Home was utilising SAP as its ERP system and looking to extend it into its warehouses, embarking on an SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) transformation project. With mobile scanning already in place at these sites, Deli Home required a new mobile solution that was easy for its operators to use.
After reviewing the standard mobile solution for SAP EWM, Deli Home believed there was a risk to user engagement. With time limited due to the wider SAP EWM implementation, PreBilt was identified as the ideal rapid deployment mobile solution that was able to fulfill all requirements.
The Config Team implemented PreBilt for EWM, powered by Mendix, to execute SAP EWM transactions on mobile devices within five warehouses across the Netherlands. Configuring the solution to meet specific needs, PreBilt has been deployed to manage a range of processes including goods receipt, picking, physical inventory counting, and stock enquiry.
A major advantage of PreBilt was the rapid deployment, with Deli Home up and running with the mobile solution in less than 12 weeks, ensuring the company hit its wider EWM go-live date. Deploying the standard PreBilt for EWM framework, the flexible customisation toolkit provided by The Config Team enabled the internal team at Deli Home to tailor the screen layout and appearance, during the project, to optimise the solution for the warehouse operators.
