Every year Computable recognizes significant accomplishments and impactful innovations and innovators in the IT space. In a year of near-constant disruption, the 2021 Computable Awards overarching theme focused on digital acceleration.
This year, we were honored to be recognized with a first-place finish in the Software/SaaS category. We earned the same title in both 2018 and 2019. Computable Award winners are determined by a jury panel and an open, public vote – each portion accounts for half of the final total. We won a resounding 30% of the market voice and are grateful to everyone who took the time to raise their hand for our company.
Enabling organizations to build software at speed and scale is one of the core values of the Mendix Platform. Mendix helped its customers – particularly those in the public sector – adjust quickly to the evolving digital demands of a global pandemic. The City of San Antonio and the Municipality of Rotterdam both used the Platform to create digital alternatives to manual processes so their citizens could get the help and support they needed much sooner.
Digital transformation has been a goal for organizations for years, but the necessity of digital functionality and remote access was never more vital than it was in the last 18 months. Being able to implement digital replacements for manual processes quickly has also been crucial, and helping teams build, test, and deploy software at speed is something Mendix helps its user base do every day.
Mendix – either as an individual company or as part of a project one of our customers built using our Platform – was nominated for eight awards across nine categories. While we only placed first in Software/SaaS, we also placed highly among a competitive field in other categories. Derek Roos placed second as a CxO candidate and both PostNL and Rotterdam earned third-place placements for their projects.
We are honored to have been recognized across such a diverse field and quite proud to have been awarded the top spot in the category most central to our mission.
